The Awards People say a huge ‘Congratulations!’ to their Signature finalists
7th February saw this year’s Signature Awards take place at the ICC Birmingham and, as usual, it was a real night to remember.
These awards are a true celebration of the Best in Business. The event shines a spotlight on those who provide cutting edge thinking and drive their organisations forward and the companies who provide valuable support to the business community.
The dinner itself – a black tie event befitting of the calibre of those in attendance – saw over 550 guests enjoy a drinks reception, three courses of fine dining, keynote speakers and wonderful entertainment. Organisers, the Nachurel Group, are of course well-versed in putting on a good do – it’s amongst their key business activities after all!
This is one of our favourite events at The Awards People and we were very pleased to have some of our very talented clients there as finalists this year.
Karen Cureton, award-winning social media coach and trainer, was finalist in two categories: Business Woman of the Year and Entrepreneur of the Year. Although she missed out on both wins by the narrowest of margins, reaching the finals in two such highly-contested categories was an achievement not to be sniffed at!
Mark Robinson, founder and Managing Director of Creative62 was Highly Commended in the Excellence in Creative Design category. No stranger to the ‘Highly Commended’ accolade, Mark also achieved this same high standard within the Apprenticeship category in last year’s Nachurel Awards (sister event to the Signature Awards).
Finally, we had Mark Esho in our bevvy of finalists, his category being Excellence in Diversity & Inclusion, in recognition of his wonderful work to ensure equal opportunities for all. He too was a finalist in last year’s Nachurel awards, pipped at the post on that occasion, but he was then crowned winner of the same category within the IoD awards.
As we say on a regular basis at The Awards People, the very fact that these successful businesses and individuals were in that room makes us extremely proud and makes them real winners to us. They thoroughly earned their place amongst the other movers and shakers who attended the event and made some great connections in what was essentially a networking event to die for!
Being part of an awards finals event is what we consider to be the real prize and one which we say should never be underestimated. Many of our clients and other award winners who come to chat to us on the Sofa of Success or at the Badass Bistro (all of whom you can see at https://theawardspeople.co.uk/video-blog/) regularly tell us of the almost instantaneous uplift in interest they experience and tangible increase in turnover, simply from reaching the final stages of their chosen award (an impressive achievement of course which should never be underplayed).
We say a huge, heartfelt ‘Congratulations!!!’ to all of our finalists and wish them even more success as their award-winning year continues. Congratulations too, to those at Signature and the Nachurel Group who organised this fabulous event which has become such a popular fixture on the annual awards calendar.
