Today is Blue Monday, apparently.
Originally the term was coined in a 2005 press release from Sky Travel, who suggested that the third Monday of January was the most depressing of the year. It considered weather conditions, the arrival of post-Christmas credit card bills and the depressing distance to the January pay day.
Yeah, you heard, that day that gets so much of a mention on social media etc is actually a construct of a marketing department based on a serious lack of medical and scientific research. However, as well as a need to book a holiday, what it cites is a need to take action and that’s where the Awards People can help.
We want to encourage people to really see the best of themselves this year, making a plan to enter a number of awards and finish the year as a winner! Take that January blues!
And how do you do that we hear you ask? By taking action and collaborating with us at the Awards People, letting us hear everything about you and the great things you’re doing for business, for your team and/or for your community.
Depending on the package you need we can work with you to plan your awards entries for 2023 and beyond, so you can enjoy the success that you deserve. You may already be currently working on your strategy for the year, planning all of your content etc and entering an award may be at the bottom of your list. It may not even be on it. Well, if you’re reading this then take it as a sign to take the first step towards being an award winner because, trust us, that’s one of the best forms of marketing you can give to yourself and your business. Those who win awards, or become a finalist, often see engagement with them and their products/services increases greatly; and our stats talk for themselves. Despite the fact that we wrote more than 400 awards entries last year alone our stats stayed at an impressive level with 93% of those who enter awards through us going on to become finalists and 81% becoming winners!
That’s because we take the time to sit and listen to you, in January and throughout the year, to hear your story and get to know you and your business. We ask the questions you may not have asked yourself or even heard before to draw out the key information we need to help you put your best foot forward in front of ANY judging panel.
So, why not take that first step today and get in touch with us at The Awards People – put it at the top of your to-do list and we’ll put YOU at the top of ours. We look forward to hearing from as many people as possible.
On a serious note, mental health is not a subject to hide away from and it’s one that we whole heartedly support. If you or someone you know is struggling at this time of year, then please support the Samaritans and their aptly named ‘Brew Monday.’ Pop the kettle on and get chatting. We’re also great listeners.
