The Publisher Podcast Awards 2021

Entries close 27^th November 2020

To be considered for any of the below categories the following criteria must be met first.  The podcast;

1. 1. Must be from a publisher* that releases content regularly via at least one other medium – print or online
   2. Will have been available for download / streaming for at least eight weeks prior to entries closing in November, with plans to continue (unless a planned limited series)
   3. Must have published a new episode between October 2019 and November 2020

N.B. Although the Publisher Podcast Awards welcome entries from all over the world the podcast must be in English for the purposes of judging.  The awards ceremony is planned to be held in London in spring 2021.

*B2B or B2C organisation of any size whose primary purpose is to publish editorial content to an audience across print or online.  Unfortunately, we cannot accept entries from blogs or companies whose primary business is not publishing at this time.

The British Podcast Awards

Dates for 2021 are all still to be confirmed, however, when we last spoke to the organisers they said that they will, “probably open The British Podcast Awards at the end of January 2021.  All other dates have not yet been agreed but keep checking our website for updates”.

These awards are judged by over 80 independent judges who are based internationally.  They award a winner as well as a silver and bronze award per category and sometimes a Highly Commended award is offered too!

These awards have been created to highlight the best podcasts of the year made for Great Britain.  They encourage all podcast makers to enter from big brands to bedroom publishers, charities and comedians… anyone who is helping to build and industry in which we can all be proud.

The awards aim to create an opportunity for more shows to win a podcast award and are open to all shows globally.  They encourage shows from around the world to participate in the awards in order to gain recognition.  The awards require individual shows to work with their audiences independently to ask for nominations for a Podcast Award.
